Happy Birthday to Rachel

Hi everyone I know it has been over a month since my last update – but I have been very busy turning 2 years old! It has been a great month with so much to tell and lots of pictures for you all to see. Here are some of the highlights:

  1. I had an amazing birthday party at the Memphis Kiddie Park
  2. I got my first haircut
  3. I started school 2 weeks ago
  4. I had a blast on our vacation in Chautauqua
  5. I helped mommy blow out the candles on her cake for her birthday
  6. I went to the Park Synagogue Picnic and the Salute to Orange Festival (and I rode on the Euclid Beach Rocket with daddy at both events)
  7. I helped Papa celebrate his birthday last month also

Things are great with me – I have lots of new toys to play with and I still love to play outside. I enjoy singing songs – The Itsy Bitsy Spider and ABC’s are two of my favorites although I am getting really into Yellow Submarine. I love to look for deer and yellow cars while we are driving. There is so much else to tell so come over and visit me soon!

I will let the pictures tell you the rest of what has been going on.

Adios!

Family Vacation

I thought you would all be excited that I am doing a web date in a pretty timely fashion (only 2 ½ weeks since my last one) but I wanted to post all the great pictures from our recent family vacation to Boston, New Jersey and New York City. We had a wonderful time on our trip which began by visiting Aunt Jenny and Uncle Alex in Boston. It was great to see their new place (actually it is not so new but it was to us). We went to the Aquarium and the Museum of Science and walked around in Harvard Square and Faneiul Hall. Then it was on to Shirley, Massachusetts to stay with Gregg and Jen Gantous – Gregg and my daddy have been friends forever and we had lots of fun staying with them and their 2 cats (and the baby to be born in January – congratulations again!!!) So next we headed down to Berkeley Heights, New Jersey to stay with the Schefflers – Adam and Denise and their kids Jadyn and Logan. Mommy and Denise have been friends forever and I love hanging out with Jadyn and Logan when they come to Cleveland so it was great to be at their house. I think the last time I was there – both Logan and I were in our mommy’s tummies. We went to this really neat place called Imagine That and I had a blast! We rounded up our trip in New York City to visit Uncle Josh and Aunt Yassana and Twiggy the Chihuahua. Twiggy and I got along great – as long as she didn’t bark at me and as long as I stayed out of her way. In the city, we went to the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and saw this really neat Dora exhibit which I loved. We also headed to FAO Schwartz where I played with the toys and walked on the big famous piano. We didn’t get to do much else because it was about 150 degrees outside but next time we go I am looking forward to hanging out in Central Park. Before we got on the plane to go home we went to lunch with Cousin Sarah who also lives in NYC. As you have read – it was definitely a fun filled trip. I had a blast on the airplane and loved going through tunnels and on the trains. Now we are back in Cleveland and I have been swimming at the pool a lot. I love to go down the kiddie slides all by myself and I am really excited to turn 2 years old in less than a month. I am talking up a storm so mommy and daddy have to watch what they say in front of me since I am like a parrot. That is all for now – enjoy the photos!

Summer Fun

I know it has been more than 6 weeks since I last updated – but please cut me some slack. After all it is summer and I am only 22 months old.

There have been lots of babies born around here lately – Carly Goldman, Riley Olsen and Camryn Zucker are three new baby sisters to my friends. Also as of June 14 – I have a new cousin. His name is Gavin Anthony and he is Taylor’s little brother. I had lots of fun playing with him and Taylor at their house.

We had wonderful weekend in Chautauqua with the Vogels in late June. I had so much fun playing with Maya – we took walks, played on the porch and in my playroom, ran around in Bestor Plaza and went for rides on the boat. We also went back to Chautauqua to celebrate Grandma’s 60th birthday on July 2nd and I had a blast! I have also started camp this summer at Agnon (where I will be going to preschool in the fall) I go one day a week with mommy and it is lots of fun! We went to 3 parties on July 4th and I stayed up until 10:15 watching the fireworks. They were pretty neat but I thought the finale was too loud.

July 7th was Nana Bee’s 90th birthday so we had a great weekend celebrating – Uncle Michael was in from Seattle and Nana’s brother – Uncle Rick, came in from Kansas City for the festivities.

I could go on and on but why don’t you just enjoy the pictures (there are lots of them since mommy got a new cool camera) That’s all for now…I am off to the pool

Merry in May

Hello everyone….

Well since I last updated, daddy returned from Mexico and had a great time. I am quite busy as usual and some of my favorite things lately are having tea parties and playing with choo-choo trains. I also love to play with water tables, ride in my wagon, mow the lawn with my bubble mower and drive cars. I love to sing Twinkle Twinkle little star, talk on the phone, do somersaults and drink water out of a big girl cup. I am always on the go and I love to play hide and seek.

Here are some highlights of the month:

I had brunch with Auntie Lenore and Mort who were visiting from Florida and Cousin Sheryl.

  1. I went to see Dora Live with Mason and had a blast!
  2. I went to 3 birthday parties this month – for Jordyn Zucker, Alex Bergman and Ari Weiss.
  3. I had lots of play dates, lunches and playground time with my friends
  4. I learned all about the viola at the Cleveland Orchestra Musical Rainbow with Grandma and Grandpa
  5. I had a great Mother’s Day brunch with the family
  6. I finished my Kindermusik and Agnon preschool classes
  7. I had a great time at the Orange Jubilee

We had a fun-filled Memorial Day weekend but unfortunately there are no pictures to show you because mommy’s camera is on the fritz and she is getting a new one real soon. But to sum it up – I had sleepovers at Grandma and Grandpa’s one night, and then Nana and Papa’s the next night, then the next night I played at Addison and Bennett’s. And today I played in the pool over at Tyler and Haley’s and then had Ari and Isaac over to play in my little pool. I am exhausted and will definitely sleep well tonight!

Spring has Sprung

Greetings everyone –

I will try to be short and sweet in my blog this month because I have LOTS of amazing pictures to post. Mommy’s finger has been shutter crazy lately and I feel like every time I turn around she is sticking that camera in my face.

I am very busy lately and talking up a storm. I have hundreds of words and now I can even speak in sentences. I can also count to five in English and Spanish (gracias Dora) I like to tell everyone that my name is Rachel Glazer and I live in Orange (sometimes I say orange juice) I love to read, sing, dance, play with all my toys and watch Dora. I love to do the Hokey Pokey, Row Row Row your Boat, Ring around the Rosie and the Itsy Bitsy Spider. I love to blow kisses, give hugs and get lots of tickles on my tummy and feet. I also like to wear cropped jackets and sweaters even though daddy thinks they look like they don't fit me.

The weather has been great and I have been spending lots of time outside (see for yourself in the pictures) I love the swings, the slide and getting ice cream from the cool truck that drives through the neighborhood!

Here are a few highlights for the month….

1. Mommy and daddy went to a Shabbaton for a weekend and I got to have a fun time with Nana, Papa and Nana Bee.
2. We went to Chautauqua with the Weiss family and had a great time
3. Grandma, Grandpa and Grandma Faye came back to Cleveland for Passover and it was great to hang out with them
4. Aunt Jenny and Uncle Alex came in from Boston and I got to see them also
5. I had lots of fun meeting Uncle Steve, Aunt Jan, and cousins Kim and Dee who visited from Maryland; I also got to see Uncle Allan, Aunt Mali and cousins Sarah and Aaron – I think it was my biggest family outing in the nearly 20 months I have been around. I missed having Uncle Josh and Aunt Yassana there with us.
6. Other out of town visitors were the Scheffler family, the Diamant Family and Sandy and Amy – it is so fun to see our long distance friends.
7. I went to Eggshelland with mommy – it was so cool to see Dora and Boots made out of eggshells

Other than that – I have been busy playing with friends, going to classes with mommy and going on fun outings with daddy like the Zoo and the Rainforest. I am going to be 20 months old next week and I am really excited for the summer.

Lastly – I want to blow kisses and say I love you to my daddy – who is whooping it up in Mexico this week with Uncle Ethan. Mommy and I are having lots of fun but we miss him and can’t wait for him to come home!

Enjoy the pics – sorry there are no captions but the computer is being temperamental and with daddy gone my choice was to post without captions or wait until he gets home.

Love, Rachel

February and March 2006

Well I know it has been a while since I last posted but we have been traveling a lot the past month so it has taken me a while to get caught up. Mommy has been bugging me to work on the website (which I know she gets from some of you) but I do sleep nearly 16 hours out of every day – so gimme a break, ya know?

I will quickly run the down the past month and then get to the photos…

  1. Mommy and daddy went on a cruise for Grandma and Grandpa’s birthday (see the family page for some photos) and I had a really great 5 days with Nana, Papa and Nana Bee. We had lots of fun and even though mommy and daddy called every day – I still missed them a lot!
  2. When the cruise was over – I spent a few days going to classes and playgroup to see my friends
  3. I also went for my 18 month check-up and I now weigh almost 21 lbs and I am about 31 inches.
  4. Then we packed up for sunny Florida and went on vacation (jeez – didn’t mommy and daddy just go on vacation???)
  5. We had a great time with Grandma, Grandpa, Grandma Faye and Stanley
  6. Some highlights were going to the beach, going swimming at the pool, playing on the playground, going to the zoo and riding on the golf cart
  7. I really enjoyed being outside and I can’t wait for summer!!!!
  8. When we got back I was a little sick (darn those teeth) but then got back in the swing of things after a few short days.
  9. Last week I went to the Children’s Museum for playgroup, Tot Shabbat, Isaac’s birthday party and Grace’s birthday party. I also went to Kindermusik class with Nana, had dinner with Jordan and a BBQ with the Weiss Family. (Yes it was very busy!)
  10. I have been watching lots of hoops with mommy and Joelle (even though I would rather watch Dora) I was just glad to know Joelle isn’t the babysitter!
  11. I am not doing so hot in the March Madness pool – but in my defense I was getting over my fever when I made my picks. The best I can hope for now is last place and my money back – but watch out for next year!

That is all for now – enjoy the pictures

Well I wasn't on the cruise but I did get to wear one of the hats!

No pictures please!
